I saw this quote recently by Coco Chanel:

‘Nature gives you the face you have at twenty. Life shapes the face you have at thirty. But at fifty you get the face you deserve.’

To me this sums up how vita skincare is, as putting in effort to look after your skin now will allow you to reap the rewards when you’re older. Skincare is so important, yet I’m definitely guilty of forgetting about it

Here’s a round up of my favourite products and the ones I’m using this month:

Malée Conditioning Body Cream

This body cream is a new discovery and so far I’m really liking it! I always make sure I’ve moisturised after showering – got to keep that tan looking ? and this is perfect for doing the job.

It smells really nice, almost slightly spicy and the box says it is inspired by Africa’s wetlands, with notes of citrus, mint and patchouli. I have been using it for the last few weeks after shaving and it is really soothing on my skin. It is quite a thick cream but doesn’t leave my skin feeling greasy.

The brand is built around an ethos of harmony and natural ingredients, inspired by Africa. I’ve never used a moisturiser that smells quite like it and that’s something I really like about the product, as so many moisturisers can have a very heavy, sweet smell. The design of the bottle is also really cool, with a patterned print in different shades of green. I couldn’t recommend it enough!

Clinique Anti Blemish Solutions Cleansing Foam

clinique skincare

I’ve been a fan of Clinique for a while and I love this cleanser. It’s light and foamy and leaves my face feeling refreshed. There isn’t a particular smell to it which I like as it feels quite natural.

It also goes hand in hand with the clarifying lotion and clearing treatment as part of a three step regime. I first started using it when I was about 15 and suffered from spots. I thankfully never suffered from acne but I definitely was conscious of my face when I had breakouts. I found this cleansing foam to be good at soothing red areas and keeping my face feeling clean.

I think that finding the right cleanser can be quite hard so I like to use this review website to check out some good options.

Amie Morning Dew Matte Finish Moisturiser

I love this brand as it’s so gentle on your skin. It’s meant for teenage skin but it just smells and feels too good I can’t help but use it! I love the moisturiser which is full of natural ingredients: rosehip, bilberry and vitamin E. The vitamin E helps protect your face against pollution, and living in London I definitely need this. It also protects against sun damage (which is less of a concern living in rainy London!).

It leaves my face feeling soft and hydrated without feeling like I have covered it in a heavy cream, and definitely no shine!

Sanctuary Spa Feather- Light Moisture Spray

sanctuary spa moisturiser

This is one of my favourite moisturisers to use over summer. It feels like autumn has arrived over night this week though, so I think I will be putting it away until next year now!

It is honestly the lightest moisturiser I have ever found, so you don’t feel like you’re rubbing a thick cream into your body when it’s already hot and sticky outside. Full of jojoba, sweet almond and vitamin E, it smells amazing too. It’s is also perfect if you are in a rush as you can spray it on and don’t really need to rub it in.
