Joe’s Southern Table & Bar has become my go to bar in Covent Garden for cocktails – it’s a good place to meet friends for drinks and nibbles after work and I’ve also visited with my parents.

Dad joke alert…

They have happy hour 4pm- 6pm Sunday to Friday and their cocktail choice is good with all the usual suspects as well as some more interesting ones, such as a Rumdog Millionaire or the 50 Shades of Grape.

My go to drink is always an Aperol Spritz, (I’ve only got Italy to thank for that), so it’s usually what I go for and it’s always tasted good. It’s £7.50, so not bad for London but makes me want to cry when I think that I could pay €3 for a decent spritz in Italy.

You can order southern themed snacks while you drink such as chicken wings or honey butter baked corn bread, and there are loads of tables so I’ve always got a seat. It’s also fun to sit at the bar and see the cocktail makers shake their stuff and look at the many exotic bottles they have on display. I’d definitely recommend a visit!
