‘Anyone can be a Father, but it takes someone special to be a Dad’
Happy Father’s Day everyone! I hope you’ve all had a good day celebrating the Dad in your life.
I think my Dad is pretty amazing, so I like being able to treat him on Father’s Day and say thank you for everything he does for my family.
Dad’s aren’t always easy to buy presents for though. If I ask Dad what he wants, whether it be for Birthday or Christmas or Father’s Day, he tends to say there isn’t anything he needs. Obviously that’s not a good enough answer for me so then my sister and I spend the next few weeks whatsapping each other present ideas.
This year we discovered Qwerkity, which solved all our present problems*!
The website is really easy to use and you can filter to see gift ideas from daughters or best gift ideas for your dad.
In the end we decided on this tumbler:
Its got a really pretty countryside scene on it and it’s the kind of present we know Dad will actually use.
It’s quite heavy and the glass is thick, so even though the price is reasonable it feels like you’re getting something of really good quality.
It came packaged in a little box and wrapped in tissue paper so it was really easy to just tie a ribbon around it and it was ready to go!
The second gift we decided on was a garden tool tidy:
Unfortunately it was out of stock so hasn’t yet arrived but you can see what it looks like above.
Again, it is the perfect present for Dad. He loves being outside and he spends a lot of the weekend gardening and getting things done around the house.
I thought this would be a really good present and worth the wait for it to arrive as he can keep his tools tidy in the shed, or take it with him when he is in the garden to keep them out the way of the dog!
As it’s such a sunny day we also decided to take him out for a pub lunch which he definitely enjoyed!
I hope all your Dads had a lovely Father’s day and managed to take some time out from Dad-duties to relax a bit too!
