Light Bites

Since starting work I’ve noticed that I always get hungry at about 3pm. It’s a few hours after lunch and still a few hours to go in the office. Recently I’ve been looking for something that can fill me up that’s both tasty and healthy. This is where Light Bites have come to my rescue. They sell a range of different products that are all really healthy and perfect for that 3pm food craving.

I’ve tried out quite a few of the options they sell and I thought I’d tell you what I think…

The Popped Chips:

Anyone who knows me well will know that I’m a pretty big crisp fan. I’d take crisps over chocolate any day! Light Bites have a great range of popped chips to choose from with some really exciting flavours.

I tried:

Roasted Shallot and Cider Vinegar

Sweet and Smokey Chipotle

Pesto and Sundried Tomato

Cheddar Cheese and Chutney

The thing I noticed most about all the chips was how full of flavour they all are. You can really taste the pesto or the chutney, for example. The Sweet and Smokey Chipotle are my sister’s favourite. She said they were smokey and full of spice!

I’m a fan of all the flavours but I think my favourite is the Cheddar Cheese and Chutney.

The best thing about the chips though is how light they are. They don’t feel greasy and feel like a healthy treat!

I have also tried some of their fruity snacks!

Apple with Strawberry Yoghurt

Mango with Vanilla Yoghurt

Strawberry and Apple

The Strawberry and Apple were my favourite. They almost melt in your mouth and are very sweet. They are perfect for that after lunch snack craving! I think I will also use them for breakfasts to mix with some natural yoghurt or add to plain cereal.

The Mango with Vanilla yoghurt was also great. They are very sweet though so I couldn’t eat them all at once and just snacked on them throughout the afternoon.


Light Bites also make some bars which my mum loves. She has tried the Quinoa, Honey and Pumpkin Seeds and the Goji Berries, Quinoa and Chia seeds.

Unfortunately I can’t try the pumpkin bar as it has nuts in it, but my mum said that it is sweet, chewy and has a strong honey flavour – perfect with a cup of tea!

All the bars are free from preservatives and all those nasty artificial extras that you often find in foods that claim to be healthy – a guilt free snack!
